Fall's Three Easy Pieces

Establishing a personal uniform that makes me feel comfortable, beautiful, and like myself has helped me tremendously over the years. Not only has it streamlined my mornings, it has also allowed me to edit my wardrobe down to only the things I know I’ll love and wear often. In my collection and my closet, three items are essential to me year-round: slim-cut, mid or high-rise jeans, soft, well-crafted sweaters, and simple Italian leather shoes. I put those staples together to form one easy off-duty outfit quite often; nothing is more perfect for a busy day.

This fall one of my favorite sweaters is our oversized boucle sweater, which comes in black and sand. Made from merino and cashmere with a hint of stretch it is supremely soft, and I love its texture which is caused by the yarn’s looped weave. Paired with my favorite Re/Done ankle crop jeans, the combination is comfortable but also flattering. Our Chelsea boots, flats, and sandals complete the look for me—the dark sand suede styles are perfect for winding down from summer. As the weather gets colder, I’ll reach for our shoes in burgundy velvet and black leather, and add a coat overtop! XXJKE
