Update Your Space with MQuan’s Handmade Bells

As the New Year approaches, you might be thinking about cleaning and clearing your space for the cozy winter months ahead. January is always a good month for editing, in your home and otherwise. For a simple update to any room, I love Brooklyn sculptor Michele Quan’s hand-thrown stoneware bells. Not only are they beautiful to behold—every detail from the reclaimed wood knocker to the hand-painted gray stripes is thoughtful—but they add a sense of calm through their subtle, melodic chime. You can hang one anywhere from your entryway to your kitchen. If you live in Southern California or a similar climate, try hanging one outdoors so it’ll catch in the wind.

These special bells also make a lovely hostess gift, should you be staying in a friend’s vacation home or cabin this winter. I love gifting home items as a thank you for a friend or family member’s generous hospitality! XXJKE
