Confetti System and Geronimo

Cesar in my office always likes to refer to us as magpies because we love beautiful shiny things. I wanted to introduce you to two of my favorite shiny artists for parties or around the house – Confetti System and Geronimo Balloon-Troopers.

Confetti Systems

I was on Remodelista one day, which by now I’m sure you’ve realized is my favorite blog, and I saw pictures of a great Parisian Taqueria Candelaria with amazing tinsel and paper garlands strung together on a stone wall – I was in love. I followed the links and discovered Confetti Systems. I later saw a similar installation at Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s store in NYC. I knew this is what I wanted to put in the kids’ new playroom. I ordered two garlands in silver and strung them together on the wall. Above and below I added rows of jute and hung the kids’ art with clothespins. I’m really happy with how the whole thing turned out. Confetti Systems has tons of great colors to choose from. They also make gorgeous piñatas and I hope to get one for one of the kids’ birthdays. Based in NY, they have done tons of great collaborations that are really inspirational. They are the product of Nicholas Andersen and Julie Ho, a duo working as artists, stylists, and designers.

Geronimo Balloon-Troopers

Another one of my favorites is Geronimo Balloon-Troopers. Geronimo was created by the talented and stylish Jihan Zencirli. I was first introduced to Jihan and her amazing balloons at my friend Jess and Jed’s daughter’s 1st birthday. I mentioned her in my Valentine’s Day Post and Ripley’s 1st Birthday Post, but she is definitely worth mentioning again – She’s the whole package. From her look to her car to her work, she embodies everything she creates. Known for her beautiful balloons, some hand tinted, some bright and vibrant, she creates garlands and tassels similar to Confetti Systems’ and strings them to the bottoms of the balloons. They look magical and are great for any party. Jihan does more than just balloons – she makes great garlands and flowers too, and even set up a craft table for the kids to make their own balloons and jewelry at Rip’s birthday party. XXJKE
