One such combination is Elissa Goodman’s Daily Detox Tonic, which I drink daily. 

Elissa is a Los Angeles based holistic nutritionist and cleanse expert who focuses on healing with whole natural foods. When I learned she started her own day with this modified lemon-and-cayenne drink, I knew I had to try it. In addition to lemon juice and cayenne, this chilled drink includes coconut kefir, which is loaded with beneficial bacteria, active aloe vera, which has antioxidant and antibacterial properties, fresh ginger root, a digestive aid, and raw apple cider vinegar, which supports a healthy immune system. Elissa Goodman's Daily Detox Tonic Recipe

Ingredients for the optional

  • 4 oz 113 g Healing Movement Coconut Kefir
  • 4 oz 113 g George's Always Active Aloe Vera
  • 2 teaspoons Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 fresh lemon juice
  • 2 in 5 cm fresh juiced ginger root or high-quality ginger powder
  • pinch cayenne pepper
  • 6-8 oz 170 g filtered water can dilute if needed, depending on taste

For the optional

Add all ingredients into jar, finish with filtered water, shake well. Best serve chilled.
