Sourcebook: To-Go Boxes

February 16, 2016

A wooden box labeled PIEBOX with an open lid and leather handle sits on a table next to a baked pie in a metal dish, two empty glass jars, a bottle of milk, and a small stack of forks.

With the holiday season in full swing, delicious baked goods and sweet treats are aplenty. With this in mind, I wanted to share some favorites for transporting – whether as a gift for the hostess, a contribution to the meal, or as a way to send a slice home with your guests. Here, some of my favorites:

Garden Trading is a great resource for all things beautiful and practical in the kitchen and around the home, and they have a nice assortment of items for baked goods on the go, including these stackable cake and biscuit tins and these round cake tins in chalk and charcoal.

Also amazing, this gorgeous handcrafted pine CakeBox and Piebox Gift Set, both with leather straps, from Food 52. Included in the Piebox set: a hand-stamped pie plate and tin of gourmet sugar. And lastly, I can’t resist this adorable pie slice to go box kit, also from Food 52. XXJKE
