There are so many chic toys and games out there, whether for inside or out. Here are some of my outdoor favorites, both functional and irresistibly classic. Stay tuned later this week for a roundup of my indoor favorites! XXJKE

Fredericks & Mae

I was first introduced to the creative genius of Fredericks & Mae through the amazing arrows that now hang in Tanner’s room. The brainchild of art/design team Jolie Mae Signorile and Gabriel Fredericks Cohen, it is a wonderfully distinct online destination featuring objects for the home, garden, and sky. Some of my favorites, no doubt: their classic games and activities, including this beach tennis set and this hand painted bocce set.

Artemare

A collection of timeless, artisanal beach accessories and equipment handcrafted in the United States and inspired by seaside locales from around the world, Artemare had me at hello. Their incredibly chic and classic items are perfect for a getaway, or just playing in the yard. Some of my outdoor favorites: the basswood and mahogany Bold Beach Racquets, the Signature Beach Racquet, hand-crafted with sustainably sourced hardwood and handles wrapped in soft genuine leather, the Tulum Beach Racquet Set, which pairs the look and feel of 1950s surfboards with shell inlay techniques of Yucatán artisans, and this exclusive Artemare For Goop monogrammable wooden and leather racquet.

Terrain

One of my go-to’s for beautiful items for garden and home, Terrain also has a great assortment of items for play, including this backyard croquet set, old-fashioned badminton set, and these graphic and old-fashioned beach paddle ball sets.

L.L. Bean

I have been familiar with L.L.Bean since I was a kid. Years later, the Portland, Maine-based brand continues to be a mainstay for classic, quality goods. Some of my outdoor fun favorites: the Maine Coast Croquet Set with boat and tote, and this quintessentially-summer set of forged steel horseshoes.
