Lauren Snyder’s Elegant, Shop-Owner Style

May 3, 2018

untitled-1-3-2

As the owner of The Primary Essentials, a thriving interior design store with locations in Brooklyn and Manhattan, Lauren Snyder’s days are never the same. As such, the entrepreneur gravitates towards easy, elegant items in her wardrobe; the kinds of pieces that move easily between buying appointments, store visits, and post-work hangouts with friends. Elevated denim is an anchor, for example, and she uses bold accessories like statement earrings or heeled boots to add style without sacrificing comfort. When it comes to tops Lauren likes the sort of effortless classics we strive to perfect at Jenni Kayne.

When we photographed Lauren’s incredible Bed-Stuy brownstone she reached for silk and cashmere Jenni Kayne tops in neutral colors that would work with everything in her closet. Our gray ribbed turtleneck is perfect for cozy days when Lauren is working from her home office—and can be worn to dinner with her husband that night. A navy polka dot shell tank, meanwhile, is a bit dressier but just as easy to wear. Lauren added black jeans and sparkly boots to the look for a party-ready finish, but the shell would feel equally at home with jeans, flats, and a sweater on more casual days.

I love Lauren’s edited but romantic approach to style, in her home, her store, as well as in her wardrobe. For more on the Brooklynite, be sure to check out our Q&A and home tour from yesterday. If you like her style, shop her favorite Jenni Kayne pieces below and check out The Primary Essentials, which has e-commerce! XXJKE
