The Faultless Fall Menu Jenni's Serving All Season
September 13, 2022
With fall underway and the slightest chill in the air—or, at the very least, the promise of it—our minds can’t help but wander to cozy gatherings with those we love. And when it comes to planning the kind of fall meal to nourish and soothe us from the inside out, we turn to none other than Melissa Norton, the eponymous culinary creative behind Cucina Melissa. On a recent late-afternoon trip to Jenni’s, we celebrated the beginnings of fall and our new collaboration with Staub—two things we can’t help but smile about. For dinner inspiration and plenty of tabletop tips for the season ahead, read on.

The Table
Even the simplest of tabletops have the power to feel special if you bring in the right essentials—this scene proves all that and more. With neutral tones and a few touches of color in the form of fall-focused hues, Jenni’s breakfast nook transformed into a casual-yet-celebrated tabletop before our eyes.
The established color palette took shape from greenery in Jenni’s own yard. Once the colorful additions were foraged and placed in bud vases, Jenni utilized both tones of our Pacific Dinnerware by stacking our Pacific Breakfast Bowl in Taupe atop our Pacific Dinner Plate in Ivory. The result of mixing and matching gives the tabletop a unique look that feels perfectly layered.
To tie it all together, Jenni used our Sabre Bistro Vintage Cutlery, vintage glassware, plus candles and napkins that spoke to the green color story.

"A neutral color palette is something that works through every season. I think natural shades like tan and ivory are great for anchoring a space, but I always add in earthy tones and touches of green."

The Menu
We enlisted Melissa Norton to curate a menu of fall-inspired dishes that are perfect for family-style gatherings. Whether it’s a weeknight dinner or a festive evening, the name of the menu game is always simplicity—and when it comes to our exclusive Staub collection, utility and aesthetics collide with ease.
One-pot dinners are a favorite of Jenni’s for the obvious reasons: they’re effortless, no-nonsense, and create a dinnertime scene that feels like a somewhat breeze.
For this fall menu, Melissa used the Staub Oval Gratin for the warming Kohlrabi Gratin and the Staub Round Cocotte for the Zuppa di Cozze, which is a quick and delicious mussels dish. The best part? Once the prep is done, all you have to do is let them cook and simply lift the lid to serve.
"I’ve always used Staub cookware—I think they make such foundational pieces that are made to last, and they really help simplify the art of cooking."
