DIY: Floral Body Oil

February 16, 2016

A glass jar filled with light green oil, sealed with a metal clasp, sits on a white surface next to sprigs of chamomile flowers and dried lavender.

For the last in our series of DIYs with floral favorites Petecia Le Fawnhawk and Kelsey Harper, Petecia once again led us through creating an all natural, fragrant product that can easily be made at home – this time body oil. To make your own, collect an assortment of petals etc. and immerse them in a jar of either jojoba or almond oil and place on a window sill, leaving it there for 4-10 weeks (the longer the time, the more aromatic the oil). Next, simply strain out the foliage (Petecia recommends using a cheesecloth) so that you are left with only the fragrant oil. For a stronger scent, just add a few drops of your favorite essential oils. XXJKE
