Announcing Our Edible Gardens Pop-Up and Workshop

September 19, 2025

Edible Gardens

Lauri Kranz, founder of Edible Gardens LA, is someone I connected with instantly upon meeting her years ago. I consider her a close friend and I value the time we spend together working in the garden—it’s meditative, relaxing and informative. Not only do I believe in her philosophy about embracing organic, natural foods and plants, but she and I share a similar design aesthetic. I’ve collaborated with Lauri in the past on a cotton garden tarp, and she has also worked on products with other creative friends of mine, including ceramist Victoria Morris and Amber Dahan for Joe’s Jeans.

Since spring is a great season to plant seeds for a garden, we thought April posed the perfect opportunity to host an Edible Gardens LA shop-in-shop at our Brentwood boutique. Open now thorough the end of the month, the pop-up features all sorts of essentials for the veteran or brand-new gardener. The items include rocket seeds from Flora Bella Farms, a Victoria Morris hanging ceramic bird feeder and a denim Joe’s Jeans apron, along with beautiful wooden cutting boards and a straw hat designed by Jo Abellera + Tula.

For further inspiration to get you started, I’m hosting Lauri on Wednesday, April 27 at 11 a.m.— also at our Brentwood location— for a Grow Your Own Food workshop. Lauri will lead a two-hour session focused on organic home gardening, and we’ll get a bit dirty ourselves as we plant a pot of herbs and vegetables to take home. Advance tickets ($50) are available to purchase here for the workshop which, like our recent one on smudge bundles, promises to be a delight. XXJKE
