Valentine's Day Crafts

It can be so hard to find chic valentines and supplies, so this year I asked the wonderful Amy Blessing to help us with a day of inspired holiday crafting. We invited a few friends and their little ones over, and Amy helped us create items that felt both festive and new.

The key to having a chic end result when crafting is using supplies that will ensure that this is the case, and when it comes to sourcing, Amy is simply amazing. For each of the little ones, she created bundles of paper that they would use for their valentines, affixed a placecard to each (their names printed with this pretty font) and secured with ribbon. She also provided the kids with a wonderful assortment of tools and supplies to work with, including mini pink scissors, fringe scissors, pink crayons, mini stamp rollers, rubber stamps, stamp pads, washi tape, a heart punch, heart stickers, paper hearts and paper doilies.

For the table, I used my go-to folding tables and burlap table cloth and placed six pink Moroccan stools that I rented from Fire and Creme around it. For lunch, we made almond butter and jelly sandwiches shaped liked hearts, and served them on the sweetest plates that I found at Bonton in Paris – Fire and Creme also sells them in LA. For drinks, we served water in my mini mason jars from Acme Party Box Company and which I now sell in my Montecito store. Inside of each, we placed heart paper straws, also from Fire and Creme.

It was such a nice afternoon, and all the little ones were so happy with (and eager to share) the Valentine’s Day crafts that they had made. XXJKE
