Spring Inspiration and Wardrobe Transition with Kinfolk

February 20, 2017

Kinfolk is one of my favorite magazines; I’ve been enjoying their thoughtful interviews and photos of homes, food, and creative people since the magazine first launched in 2011. That’s why I’m so honored to be featured on Kinfolk.com this week, as well as in the second hardcover book on interior design, called The Kinfolk Home. Because Kinfolk focuses on “slow living”, and covers food, art, and culture as thoroughly as it does fashion, I’ve always felt very connected to the magazine. That’s a balance I strive for in my line and our stores every day; I never want Jenni Kayne to just be about the clothes.

To toast Kinfolk’s new issue and the fact that we’re carrying their beautiful interior design book on our website and in our stores, I asked the Denmark-based editorial team to share a few of their favorite pieces from our spring collection. See below for their picks and inspiration for the edit. XXJKE

“Our selects are all about the transition from winter into spring, and making it simple and functional. We love Jenni Kayne for creating those pieces that we wear time and again, such as the ankle-strap ballet flats and the cashmere thermal fisherman sweater—so good that we chose it in both colors. It’s perfect for those chilly Scandinavian evenings! The Sea Ranch and Schindler House books are there to keep us inspired for the season ahead, and the gold accessories add a sense of specialness that makes everything feel more beautiful.”
