So important to have on-hand in your kitchen and dining room, but often overlooked, trivets that are both functional and attractive can be difficult to find. Here, some of my chic favorites for protecting your surfaces from a hot serving dish or kettle:

I love these simple but sleek bridle leather trivets from Wood & Faulk as well as this unexpected cork trivet from Fern Living. Also great: this Japanese woven reed trivet, which I also carry in-store* and this nautical woven trivet from Etsy.

For wooden options, I really like these bagel trivets from designer Hidetoshi Takahashi, this cutout wooden trivet from Etsy, and this collapsible wood trivet from Sabine Meyer. And lastly, for brass: these gorgeous galaxy and star trivets from designer Masanora Oji, which can stand alone as a piece of art. XXJKE
