The Perfect Menu for Every Spring Celebration
March 30, 2023
Whether we’re hosting or attending, we love any opportunity for a Sunday brunch—but we’ll admit the occasion could use a bit of reinvention. So, with the upcoming spring holidays, we called on our trusted culinary source, Melissa Norton of Cucina Melissa, for an inspired and unexpected take on a much-loved meal. Featuring simple, in-season ingredients and modern twists on age-old recipes, each dish—and cocktail to complement—embodies the spirit of exactly what brunch ought to be: fun, refreshing, and totally effortless.

The Tabletop
When setting the table for a larger gathering that might skew more formal, we love to keep each tabletop detail functional yet beautiful. We rooted this scene in our Pacific Breakfast Bowl and Pacific Dinner Plate in Taupe with the Sabre Bistro Vintage Finish Cutlery Set in Buffalo and Frayed Linen Napkin in Natural working to complete this tabletop moment.
Inspired by this neutral and earthier aesthetic, Jenni sought to bring in florals that worked in sync with her backyard. Using various ceramic vases she had on hand, the tablescape came to life with sage, lavender, oak, olive, rosemary, and thyme, with each element adding a natural and elemental touch that instantly exuded a sense of elevated ease.
For the serving pieces and final details, Jenni called on her Sierra Serving Bowl, Sierra Serving Plate, and Eric Bonnin Kam Pitcher—three must-haves for any entertainer who is always looking for dressed-up versions of everyday essentials.

"I love turning to my surroundings for tabletop inspiration, and my backyard is always the first place I look."

"I'm so inspired by the ingredients that come to life during this season. I like to serve abundant family-style dishes that are wholesome and celebratory of spring."

The Menu
When searching for the perfect Easter or Sunday brunch menu, we turned to one of our favorite entertaining experts: Melissa Norton of Cucina Melissa. With brunch recipes and easy brunch ideas aplenty, Melissa focused on the bright flavors of spring to make a menu unlike the rest. First on the list? A rhubarb pisco sour—the ultimate cocktail for any type of gathering. Supremely seasonal and refreshing, this is the go-to drink to serve on repeat.
For the meal, Melissa’s menu consists of an elevated Spanish omlette with sweet potatoes in herb sauce and a crisp green goddess salad with pepita granola. This delicious take on eggs paired with the fresh salad makes for the perfect pairing for a spring-forward brunch. So much so, that your guests will be asking for the recipes the moment they get home.
