As the weather continues to warm, we only have all the more reason to dine outside—so we, once again, tapped Cucina Melissa for a brunch menu that would be simple in execution, show-stopping in presentation, and sure to please all. The result was all that and more—and set at Jenni’s, the entire scene was nothing less than idyllic. Read on for all the details.

The Setting

With not a single cloud in the sky, we couldn’t have dreamt up a more perfect day or more perfect venue for an outdoor brunch. Surrounded by nature on all sides, Jenni’s backyard set the ideal spring backdrop for a casual yet celebratory gathering.

With a particular picnic energy in the air, classic outdoor furniture from our Outdoor Garden collection felt like seasonal perfection—in such a way that simple linen napkins and elevated (but durable) Pacific Dinnerware were all we needed to complete the scene. Of course, a few florals in a beautiful vase never hurt.

"I love brunch regardless, but there's something about sharing a meal under the sun—surrounded by people you love—that can't be beat."

The Menu

In order to satiate every kind of brunch palettes, Melissa Norton of Cucina Melissa whipped up two gorgeous spring dishes—an heirloom tomato tart with goat cheese and thyme as well as ricotta poppyseed pancakes with blackberries and honeycomb butter. Whether guests preferred savory, sweet, or—our preference—a little bit of both, everyone left wanting more.
