December 22, 2022

When it comes to curating a Christmas tablescape—or Christmas table décor for that matter—we have one person we always turn to for guidance: Jenni. Inspired by the season and all of the ongoing festivities, Jenni partnered with florist Gemma Blooms to create a holiday tabletop that would make every guest feel right at home. Read on for her full guide on recreating this scene at home, and don’t forget to revisit our go-to dessert recipes to complete the festive look.

The Key to Setting Your Dream Holiday Tabletop

The Tabletop Basics

The starting point of every great gathering? The tabletop essentials that lay the groundwork. For this festive scene, Jenni called on her classics: Pacific Dinnerware, Sabre Cutlery, and green linen napkins that complemented everything perfectly.

Rather than use traditional napkin rings, each napkin was tied with jute rope and some greenery—the epitome of seasonality. In an effort to give the table an elevated touch, she finished the table décor basics off with stemmed glassware.

"There's no need to overthink your holiday tabletop. Sometimes I like to just focus on a single shade and let it lead the table and then add in festive touches to tie it all together."

The Tablescape Details

For the tablescape, Jenni was eager to bring a touch of seasonality to the scene without it feeling overbearing. Always keen on organic textures that feel equally elevated and effortless, it felt second nature to place a blue ice cedar garland down the middle of the table and adding in green candlesticks to provide easy lighting.

The rest of the tablescape called on dried amaranthus, lunaria, banksia integrifolia, and dried helichrysum—all of which work together to form an ethereal and magnetic moment on the tabletop.
