Restaurant of the Day: A.O.C.
February 13, 2016
My new favorite restaurant, despite having just celebrated its ten-year anniversary, A.O.C. moved to its new location on 3rd Street at the beginning of this year, and brought with it an incredible new menu and craft cocktail selection.
The food is insane – not surprising with Suzanne Goin at the helm – thank god The A.O.C. Cookbook is coming out very soon! My favorites are all of the sides – the cauliflower, kale, and tuna meatballs are to die for. And the cocktails are no less amazing. Created by head barman Christiaan Rollich, the drinks are as inspired as they are delicious. My weakness is the Pistolero, a spicy tequila concoction with arbol chile, honey, lemon and ginger.
But one of the best things about A.O.C. is the patio, no doubt due to the fact that Lauri Kranz designed its garden. It is the perfect space to relax, unwind, and enjoy a great meal, especially while seated under the beautiful bay trees. XXJKE
