Restaurant of the Day: Trois Mec

Sometimes the best things come in the most unexpected of packages. Trois Mec is one of those things. Situated in a Hancock Park mini mall with no signage (apart from that of Raffallo’s Pizza that still hangs overhead) it is a true culinary diamond in the rough.

A collaboration between Ludovic Lefebvre (of LudoBites) and partners John Shook and Vinny Dotolo (of Animal and Son of a Gun), it has become one of the hottest tickets in town – literally. Reservations are made only by purchasing non-refundable and tough-to-score tickets, which go on sale every other Friday. Needless to say, it’s well worth it.

The ever-changing five course tasting menu is insanely delicious – and imaginitive – and is served on beautiful pottery from some of my favorites including Atwater Pottery and Pilar Wiley. Consider me officially smitten – and eagerly anticipating my next ticket inside. XXJKE
