Introducing The Jenni Kayne Farmhouse
July 15, 2024

When it comes to designing and curating homes and hospitality havens, team Jenni Kayne is certainly filled with passion. Our last venture—the Ranch in Santa Ynez—captivated our community, and we immediately began dreaming up our next destination. And now it’s finally here. Nestled in Upstate New York, the Jenni Kayne Farmhouse, which feature the Oak Essentials Wellness Club, is a brand-defining project that picks up where the Ranch left off.
Below, we’re giving you an exclusive first-look, but that’s not all. Each week, we’ll be offering you behind-the-scenes access into our design process—only on Rip & Tan. From details on finishes to our go-to sources, we’ll be sharing it all. Read on, and we’ll see you back here soon.
A Hudson Valley Hideaway
When we finally said goodbye to our property in Santa Ynez, one thing was clear: we were ready to find our next dream project within the world of hospitality. Only this time, we were searching for a completely new locale—somewhere that offered up a fresh point of view and could inspire us in new ways. Enter: the Hudson Valley.
As experts in California interiors, bringing our look and feel to the east coast felt like a natural progression in our design story—even more so, we were thrilled at the thought of touching down in a town where we could create our own hospitality wonder that inspires everyone to slow down, enjoy the fresh air, and make some time for self-care.
Meant to serve as a destination for brand activations, exclusive experiences, and invite-only events (for now…), our aim is for the Farmhouse to serve as a countryside escape that gives way to all sorts of inspired adventures, from celebrated dinners at your home featuring recipes from the farm to curated interiors essentials that bring the essence of country living to any space—the Farmhouse is a mindset as much as it is a destination.

"We wanted to bring our interiors sensibility to a whole new coast, and the Hudson Valley provided us with so much inspiration. Indoors and out, this is our hospitality haven nestled upstate."

A Peek Into Our Process
When it came time to design, the Jenni Kayne Interiors Team focused on bringing our classic and coveted California vision to the property, but were keen on translating our design language within the upstate state of mind.
A farmhouse in the truest sense, our team worked to honor the existing forms of the space while breathing new life into the home. Every inch of the space—from the great room to the outdoors, where the Oak Essentials Wellness Club lives—has a story to be told, and each week, we’ll be debuting exclusive content and unveiling the sources and inspiration behind each design decision.
Life on the farm is anything but ordinary, and we can’t wait for you to experience it all.

From The Farm
Our Farmhouse Spritz is a Hudson-inspired cocktail we’re serving all summer long. Recreate it on your own at home.
1. Muddle Cherry Tomates and Basil: In a cocktail shaker, muddle the halved cherry tomatoes and a few fresh basil leaves to release their juices and flavors.
2. Add the Aperol, fresh lemon juice, and warmed honey to the shaker.
3. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until the mixture is chilled.
4. Strain the mixture into a glass filled with ice.
5. Top off with Prosecco or a splash of club soda.
6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
7. Enjoy!
