Natural Deodorant
February 16, 2016

I’m always on the lookout for the perfect natural deodorant – one that is free of harmful chemicals, and that actually works. I do my best to stay away from such chemicals in general, but using them so close to my lymph nodes is something that really doesn’t sit well, especially when I know that antiperspirants have been linked to cancer and Alzheimer’s disease. With that in mind, here are a few natural favorites that work for me:
Fat and the Moon Deodorant Cream – Made in small batches from all organic ingredients, this cream deodorant has a coconut oil and aluminum free baking soda base, mixed with arrowroot for oil absorption and essential oils for their antimicrobial properties. Just as great: this light clary sage, black pepper, bergamot and citrus-scented blend won’t leave chalky streaks on your favorite garments.
Real Purity Deodorant – Free of aluminum and created with the most sensitive skin in mind, this quick drying formula provides a long-lasting clean scent courtesy of pure essential oils, while organic aloe and kosher vegetable glycerin keep your skin dry and healthy.
Soapwalla Deodorant Cream – And lastly, I haven’t tried it yet, but Pamela swears by Soapwalla’s deodorant cream, a frosting-like blend of vegetable powders and clays, as well as lavender, peppermint and tea tree essential oils. XXJKE
