Refresh Your Work Wardrobe for Fall
September 18, 2017

I always love the process of getting my kids ready to go back to school, and I think there’s an opportunity to have a similar “fresh start” moment for yourself in September. That might include re-styling your desk or office, streamlining your electronic processes, or rethinking your work wardrobe. Walking into a meeting wearing something that you feel great in is such a confidence booster.
This fall I love the idea of bringing luxe, traditionally nighttime fabrics into your office wardrobe for a powerful and totally unexpected look. Our wide-leg Birkin pant is such a great work trouser, for instance, and in wine and black velvet it really makes a statement. I also love traditional shirting done in silk for a sultry look that’s still professional. We did our relaxed boyfriend shirt in navy, natural, and olive satin this season. Of course, a velvet shoe is also a great way to update your go-to office basics. Our velvet mule slide or D’Orsay flats are the perfect final touch to any look.
The bonus of these pieces is that you’ll want to wear them even when you aren’t in the office. That includes after-work drinks and dinner and also weekend nights out. The velvet Birkin pant worn with a tucked-in silk cami and heels is such a great look for a cocktail party, for instance. Or do the satin boyfriend shirt with high-waisted black jeans and a pretty lip color for a casual night out. XXJKE
