Pink

When I found out I was having a girl after being the only lady in our house for quite some time, I shocked myself by gravitating towards pink more than I ever thought I would. While I used to reject the color as stereotypically girly and a little cliche, I have recently rediscovered the beauty of pink!

Clothes

When I was designing last Fall and this Spring, pink was on my mind. This season, I introduced a beautiful bubble gum pink. My favorite looks are the short suit and lace mini with collared shirt and cardigan. I also love the way Celine used pink this season – the pants with collared shirt is right up my alley. And of course I love their hot pink bucket bag.

Jewelry

I love everything Tom Binns makes and for Spring he made an amazing hot pink pearl necklace that I ordered for the Brentwood store. I am also really into Kathryn Bentley’s Dream Collective pink necklaces and bracelets.

Beauty

My favorite shade of pink lipstick is NARS Schiap – it’s my new go-to color and the polish is also great. Another pink hued polish I love is Jessica’s Seductress.

Flowers

My favorite flowers are Peonies and when they are in season I stock up. I love all the shades of pink they come in, from a deep, rich hue to a blush. I like to arrange them in silver mint julep cups or mason jars. If you live in LA, Flowers Wholesale on Santa Monica Boulevard always has a great selection.

Décor

At home, pink has made its way into Ripley’s room – no surprise there! I’ll do a post exclusively on her room soon, but for now, I found this amazing silk wallpaper from Schumacher and lined her bookshelf with it. It’s the perfect pale pink for a little girl. Another cute idea for a little girl’s room is putting a hot pink sheepskin on the Ikea Poang chair. My good friend Amanda did that for her little girl and it looks great. XXJKE
