How Our Interiors Team Styles The Coast and Carbon Collection

Rip & Tan: Are there any standout design details or materials that make each collection feel special to you? 

Linnea Schooley: I really love the hardware in both collections. I’m always drawn to a petite knob, and the shape and finish on these are just perfection—it’s such a subtle detail, but it completely elevates the piece.

Rip & Tan: Do you have a favorite piece from the collection? What makes it a must-have in your eyes?

Linnea Schooley: I’m obsessed with the Coast Hutch! It was actually inspired by a Swedish piece we sourced for the Farmhouse from Galerie Provenance, which ended up being one of my favorite moments of that project. Because of its petite frame, it works beautifully in spaces of any size and offers a surprising amount of storage.

Rip & Tan: The Coast collection is incredibly versatile. How would you approach styling it in different spaces? 

Linnea Schooley: The options are truly endless! I love the hutch as a bar, but it’s equally perfect for extra servingware in a dining room or as an accent piece in a living space. The sideboard offers generous storage—it would work wonderfully in a larger dining room, beneath a statement piece of art or gallery wall, or even under a TV.

Rip & Tan: On the other hand, the Carbon collection feels more like a statement. How do you style those pieces to showcase their unique materials while still keeping them functional? 

Linnea Schooley: Burlwood is such a stunning material—it has the rare ability to create depth and interest while still feeling neutral and versatile. I like to pair it with quieter, softer woods throughout a space so nothing competes with the burl’s natural movement and character.

Rip & Tan: Any clever ways you can maximize the storage space in these pieces?

Linnea Schooley: Using baskets inside cabinets is one of my go-to tricks—it keeps everything organized, easy to access, and visually tidy.

Rip & Tan: With fall in full swing, are there any seasonal elements you’re excited to bring to these collections? How do you like to shift your interiors with the season?

Linnea Schooley: I’m so excited to layer in autumnal florals and branches, paired with moodier vases and objects. I’ll also bring out my thicker blankets and light richer, smokier candles—it’s all about creating warmth and texture as the season changes.
