DIY: Glitter Easter Eggs
February 16, 2016

For our Easter eggs this year, I wanted to try something a little different (last year’s adventures in natural egg dyeing seen here). I asked the lovely Amy Blessing for some inspiration, and she suggested that we work with glitter. The end result: so pretty, and so easy to achieve.
To begin, Amy soft boiled a mixture of brown and white eggs, dyeing some of the white eggs with beets to give them a light pink hue. Next, she sprayed a light coat of spray glue onto the egg and tapped Martha Stewart glitter (her favorite because it’s super fine) over the glued portion of the egg. Amy’s trick for adding a bit of polka dot detail? Spray glue onto the eraser end of a pencil, and lightly imprint it over the surface of the egg. Then, simply tap the glitter over the glue dots. XXJKE
