With Mother’s Day just around the corner, it’s a perfect time to reflect on motherhood and to celebrate all the moms in our lives. I love giving gifts, especially on holidays like this one, which is so full of joy and love. Running a business and raising children is no easy feat, and my close friend, Edible Gardens LA founder Lauri Kranz, is a true inspiration. She’s not only qualified to talk green thumbs and growing, she also has an impeccable eye when it comes to aesthetics. 

In part because she’s such a wonderful role model as a mother and entrepreneur, I asked Lauri to curate a Mother’s Day gift guide. Unsurprisingly, her picks are all chic and practical. Lauri’s list includes a straw Janessa Leone hat, perfect for days spent in the sun; L’Artisan’s naturally scented Amber Ball, a beautiful Hasami Porcelain mug for morning coffee, and classic Birkenstock suede sandals. She also selected Valerie Gordon’s cookbook Sweet, adding, “My kids go through it and make wish lists of what we should bake next.” I think ultimately that’s what Mother’s Day is really about—quality time together.
