Kids Entertaining: Ripley's Princess Birthday: The Decor
For her fourth birthday, all Ripley wanted was a princess-themed celebration, and how could I refuse. To put it together, I enlisted the help of some of my favorite ladies, including decor and design from Fire and Creme, florals from Moon Canyon, thoughtful touches from Amy Blessing, and delicious bites and desserts from Annie Campbell. The end result: a magical, modern take on the princess theme, and a day that Rip will not soon forget. XXJKE
Décor & Flowers
For the décor, Peggy from Fire and Creme put together an incredible mix of elements, all of which are available for sale or rent through her Venice shop. To decorate the entrance, she hung these colorful fabric garlands adorned with small brass bells. Inside, she set up an incredible princess tent with Moroccan rugs, and a bead and ribbon chandelier made specifically for the party.
For the table, she used these pink princess paper plates and gold star napkins, and bamboo forks and spoons customized with glitter. For seating, she used her rustic wood stumps draped with her white fur stool covers. And for the desserts table: several of her delicate pink cake stands.
For the floral elements, Kristen of Moon Canyon outdid herself, using a gorgeous assortment of pastels to create fairy tale accents. She used sweet scented blooms like sweet pea and hyacinth, as well as clematis vine and ranunculus for beautiful color. Also in the mix: garden rose, pierus, tuberose, and tulips.
Outfits & Favors
A princess party wouldn’t be complete without the perfect dresses, and Rip and all her friends wore an assortment from Bonpoint. For their crowns, the wonderful Amy Blessing took these vintage lace crowns from Etsy and embellished them with feathers, grossgrain ribbon and beaded trim that she found at ISW.
And for favors, each of the little ladies received one of these crown shaped birdseed ornaments from Etsy and a princess chapstick, which Amy had customized using these labels and this crown font. Stay tuned tomorrow for all of Annie’s delicious menu details! XXJKE
