In the Veggie Kitchen: Mother's Day with Sweet Laurel Bakery - The Menu

As I shared yesterday, our Mother’s Day get-together with The Chalkboard Mag was all about baked goods of the all natural, grain-free and refined sugar-free variety. Leading our afternoon of inspiration and instruction: the lovely ladies of Sweet Laurel Bakery, Laurel Gallucci and Claire Thomas. Longtime friends and now partners in the almost-too-delicious-to-be-true paleo (and sometimes raw/vegan) bakery, they were a joy to have In the Kitchen – seemingly effortless and so much fun – and their desserts, a revelation.

On the menu for our baking class: truly some of the best I have ever tasted, including a Fresh Raspberry Jam Cake, Blueberry Loaves, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Layer Cake with Chocolate Ganache topped with a Vegan Caramel (which will soon be available for purchase as part of their assortment of pantry goods). Everything we made was so incredible – moist, flavorful and filled with the best of ingredients – but The Jam Cake and Chocolate Cake ended in a tie as my very favorites.
