Autumn Entertaining: A Rosemary-Inspired Dinner - The Decor

Some of my favorite get-togethers are the small and intimate, with understated yet thoughtful details that let the meal really shine. We recently had the pleasure of hosting one that was just that, this time with a menu and decor elements inspired entirely by rosemary. Featuring an incredible meal compliments of the amazing Barrett of Valleybrink Road, dessert from a new all-natural favorite, The Scootabaker, and floral elements from the lovely Rachel Thibodeaux of Finch Floral, our early autumn get together was simply perfect, and a proper homage to one of my favorite herbs. See below for all the decor elements, and stay tuned tomorrow for the delicious menu details. XXJKE

Florals – Finch Floral
A relaxed, undone table courtesy of an off-the-beaten-path floral favorite. To achieve, Rachel placed clusters of rosemary down the center, in lieu of a traditional garland. A quick and easy way to achieve the feel without having to wire anything together, this can be done with clippings from the garden or fresh sprigs from the farmers market. Also in keeping with the relaxed feel, Rachel chose only two floral elements, rosemary and hellebores in grey clay pots. One of her absolute favorites, hellebores is great for a transition into fall as it’s also known as the “winter rose” (even though it’s not a rose at all), and has such an organic shape and coloring. The final element in creating a cohesive tablescape: sprigs of rosemary on top of each napkin, secured with a natural leather tie.
